Sony to unveil over 22 new HD IP cameras

Sony's new network HD cameras incorporate state-of-the-art image enhancement technologies in a compact body, capturing clear and bright images in challenging environments.
As part of an expansion plan for IP video monitoring products and solutions, Sony is set to unveil over 22 new high-definition IP cameras in India next month, This was stated by Avinash J Trivedi, Head – Bizcom & Video Security Products, B&I Department, Broadcast & Professional Products Division. Sony India Pvt. Ltd.

According to Trivedi, "Perhaps, this is the first time any camera manufacturing company has launched such a line-up in one shot. Clearly, the focus going forward will be on HD and strong emphasis would be given to effect the market shift from SD to HD this year."
"The new format is HD. If we see the technology shift over the last five years as far as in the industry is concerned, video security is as resolution-hungry industry, and the customer requirement is to see images that are more detailed. Therefore, we started working on a methodology around resolution. The new visual format is very popular in terms of higher resolution content."
"As a pioneer of CCTV and IP Video monitoring systems, Sony has constantly adopted an innovative approach to enhancing its surveillance equipment. Incorporating both the latest technologies and a number of unique features, these systems are recognized throughout the world for providing high-quality images and improving the operational efficiency of both surveillance and general monitoring applications," added Trivedi.
